The Greene County boys’ basketball program held a potluck supper and awards night on Monday in the middle school gym in Jefferson. Head coach Chris Nelson and assistant coach Chad Morton presented letters and other awards, and talked about the players. The Rams were 14-8 overall and finished second in the Heart of Iowa Activities Conference at 13-3.
Lettering were seniors Trey Tucker, Calvin Skalla, Thomas Jacobsen, Chase Stoline, Anthony Jacobsen, Logan Lansman, Jon Kersey, and John Strabley. Wade Adcock, Jordan Patterson, Ben Bravard, and Ben Wilkins were juniors who lettered, while sophomores Trey Hinote and Lance Hughes also lettered.
Tucker received the Most Valuable Player Award, while Thomas Jacobsen and Skalla shared the Most Improved Player Award. Stoline was named Defensive MVP.
Tucker was also selected to play in the Iowa Basketball Coach’s Association All-Star Series. Skalla received the IBCA Team First Award.
