Absentee ballots for the special election to fill a vacancy on the Greene County School Board are now available.
Absentee ballots are available at the County Auditor’s office from now until the special election day on March 14th. Voters may request a ballot be mailed to them by filling out a request form from the auditor’s office. Auditor Jane Heun says the absentee ballots must be postmarked by March 13th for them to count. Individuals may also submit their absentee ballots on March 14th to the auditor’s office until 8pm. Polls will be open from noon until 8pm on March 14th.
The special election will fill a vacancy on the School Board following the resignation of Ashley Johnston in January. The election will fill the rest of Johnston’s term, which ends in September of 2019. Steve Fisher and Matt Wetrich are on the ballot.
The auditor’s office is open from 8am to 4:30pm Monday through Friday.
