Greene County ExtensionThe Greene County Extension and Outreach is offering a couple of classes coming up this month.

Director Lori Mannel says their re-scheduled Healthy Meals in a Hurry is happening tomorrow from 5:30 to 7:30pm at Central Christian Church in Jefferson. She describes what will be covered.

“You’re going to learn how to cook and have some time saving techniques. We’re also going to have some dried food mixes available that you make and take home. That makes your food preparation much quicker and also more affordable. We’re also going to have a sample of some healthy tacos.”

Cost to attend is $15 and pre-registration deadline is today.

Another class called “Your Money, Your Future” will help anyone who wants to learn how to get more out of your money, preventing overdraft fees and improving credit scores and reading credit reports. It will be held on two Mondays, February 27th and March 6th at the Greene County South Grade building at 204 West Madison Street in Jefferson from 6 to 8pm. A light meal and childcare will be provided. The classes are free, but pre-registration is encouraged by the end of the day today.

Call or stop by the Extension office in Jefferson to sign up for either class.
