The Greene County School Board will meet twice tonight.
The Board will meet at 5:15pm for a work session on the 2018 fiscal year budget. Since it is a work session, no formal action will take place.
The Board will then have their regular meeting at 6:30pm. The Board is expected to acknowledge the initial for their proposal from the Greene County Education Association for their 2017-18 contracts, as well as the 2017-18 school calendar following a public hearing on the topic.
The Board will also consider for approval an additional early retirement request, sales taxes and physical plant and equipment levy purchases, fundraiser requests and a shared services agreement with Mid-Iowa School Improvement Consortium. Additional items include a shared band instructor position with Glidden-Ralston and advertising opportunities.
Both meetings will take place in the conference room of the administrative building in Jefferson.
