Perry High School students received Division I ratings in five categories at the state large group speech contest this weekend.
Earning the top ratings are the short film entry “Orange Juice” by Sidney Vancil and Skylar Cunningham, the ensemble acting duos of Ali Hopkins and Lauren Benjamin for “Stop Talking” and Dannah Karlous and Kaylynn Bousman for “Chair Wars”, the “Home” group of Mariah McNamara, Sarah Sweet, Brooke Huntington and Janet Ortiz in the readers theater category and Camden Studer, Abi Weir and Benjamin in group improv.
Additionally, Perry students also competed in four other categories at state. Other short film and ensemble acting entries, along with TV news and radio broadcasting earned Division II ratings in the contest.
