It was day one of the post season for ACGC Charger wrestling on Saturday as they hosted the sectional 13 tournament.
In all it was a rather successful outing with ACGC as a team earning a 4th place finish with 138.5 team points and sending six wrestlers on to district play. The six Charger wrestlers moving on from Saturday were headlined by Easton Benson (106 lbs), Logan Scheuermann (145 lbs), and Cade Suhr (220 lbs) all with first place finishes. Easton Benson earned his first place ticket and 26th win by way of fall in the 2:00 mark. Logan Scheuermann earned a team best 39th win as class 1A’s 9th ranked 145 lb wrestler won by fall in the 0:56 mark. For Cade Suhr, his win came by way of fall as well.
Gabe Rowley (126 lbs), Blaine Beeler (113 lbs), and Zachary Fees (120 lbs) will all be joining Suhr, Scheuermann, and Benson when they travel to participate in class 1A’s district 7 tournament in Underwood on February 11th.
