Elected officials represent us at all levels, from city council members to the president of the United States and at times it’s important for the different organizations to work together.
Perry Schools Superintendent Lynn Ubben and Board of Education Director Linda Andorf recently visited the state capitol and talked with District 10 State Senator Jake Chapman.
“We want a good working relationship with our school boards, our city councils and our county supervisors. That allows us to hear feedback from them about what is working through the state, what’s not working, what we can do to improve efficiency and get the tools necessary for them to be successful in their roles.”
Chapman also reminds the public that they can have their voice heard too.
“Of course we want to hear from constituents, whether through phone calls, emails or coming down to the capitol. We work for the people, so it’s important for us to hear from them on the issues that matter to them. Even if it’s issues that we may not agree with.”
Senator Chapman can be contacted through various outlets which can be found in this story on our website.
