The Lady Charger basketball team was back on the hardwood last night for the first game action of the week taking on West Central Valley.

It was Pink Out Night for Guthrie County Relay for Life and the Lady Chargers were hoping to relay their way into their fourth victory on the year. Unfortunately, good intentions by ACGC did not lead to great play as the Lady Chargers were forced to be without a single double digit scoring quarter the entire game, falling 26-45.

ACGC started everything off on a slow note with a first quarter scoring mark of 14-8 in favor of the Lady Wildcats. From there the Lady Chargers managed to accumulate in one half something the Lady Wildcats managed in the second quarter which was to accumulate 11 points. ACGC came out of the first half strong defensively yet still saw West Central Valley out score the Lady Chargers 7-8 while being outscored in the fourth and final quarter 12-8.

Madison Berger led the scoring charge for the Lady Chargers posting up 6 points followed by juniors Morgan Meacham and Mady Smith with 5 points each. Savannah Fuller had a great night off the glass hauling in a game high 12 rebounds.

Next up for the Lady Chargers will be a non conference contest that takes them to Anita to square off against CAM in game one of a girl boy double header beginning at 6:00 pm.
