Perry Mayor Jay Pattee says 2016 was a year of changes.
From people to projects, Pattee says a lot happened over the past 12 months.
“We’re still breaking in a fairly new city administrator. A young, sharp guy in my opinion, Sven Peterson. We’ve seen a couple changes in personnel this year, that has been an adjustment I think for everybody, and we’re dealing with that pretty well. For years we’ve talked about soccer fields and they’re finally coming to be with the Pattee Park expansion this year. In addition to the soccer field there’s pushing North Street through from 16th to 18th streets. That’s been in the works literally for 20 years it has been talked about and it’s finally happening.”
