Wisconsin native Marci McClellan was elected in November as the new Guthrie County Auditor.
An attorney by trade, McClellan has 20 years of governmental experience. After receiving her law degree from Creighton University, she worked as city attorney for Pacific Junction. She then worked as assistant county attorney for Mills and Fremont counties, before serving two terms as Mills County Attorney. She then relocated to Guthrie County two years ago to be closer to her husband’s family.
She tells Raccoon Valley Radio that she’s excited to be back working in county government. McClellan ran unopposed for the county auditor seat in the November election after former auditor Jerri Christman announced that she was retiring at the end of 2016.
