Julia Helm officially takes over as Auditor after a successful Republican primary and uncontested general election in November.  She is no stranger to the office, having worked there for more than seven years.  Now retired Auditor Gene Krumm actually asked Helm to run for the position, stating she will be a great asset to the County and is a hard worker with a lot of energy.

Supervisor Mark Hanson was reelected to a fourth term on the Board, a position he has held since 2005.

Sheriff Chad Leonard was the third and final elected official who took an oath of office in Dallas County this week.  Leonard initially took office in 2007 after a special election and has served as Sheriff since.
