Those wanting to learn more about cover crops and their benefits for livestock are invited to a free webinar tonight.
Practical Farmers of Iowa will feature two Greene County farmers, James Holz and Bill Frederick on the topic of “Graze and Bale: Cover Crops as Forage”. They will talk about using cover crops on a crop-livestock farm to achieve economic benefits when it is used as a forage source. Together they run a custom cover crop application business called Iowa Cover Crop.
It is part of a free farminar series where people can listen and watch a slideshow online and interact with others in real time through a chatbox.
