Jefferson LibraryWednesday is a busy day at the children’s department of the Jefferson Public Library.

Children’s Librarian Terry Clark says they are continuing their Ready Readers Story Time program for two more Wednesdays this month. Tomorrow will be a story on camouflaged animals and next Wednesday’s story will be “The Mitten” by Jan Brett. It is open to children ages one to six years-old and their parents or guardians are required to be with them during the 10 to 11:30am program.

Clark points out another program that is also happening tomorrow is making Christmas ornaments.

“Several of the ornaments that we’ll be making are candy cane reindeer and melted snowmen. So we hope to have the boys and girls here and just enjoying a good time with crafting and creating. And we’ll have cookies and juice for them to drink.”

The come-and-go activity is open to all youth from 2 to 5pm.

Both events are free.
