Tonight there are no more scrimmages for the Panorama Lady Panther basketball team which means their record is officially on the line against Bondurant-Farrar on the road.

Tonight the Lady Panthers will enter into a contest that has treated Panorama quite well over the past few seasons earning a 2-1 record against he Lady Blue Jays in the past three years. Panorama has edged the Lady Jays on the points per game stage averaging 47 points per contest through three seasons while Bondurant-Farrar has averaged 40 points per game through three games against Panorama.

The Lady Panthers march into tonight’s contest with three of their four top scorers from last season in junior Devyn Kembel along with sophomores Bailey Beckman and Morgan Jonk. Combined those three bring back 29.6 points per game with 10.3 two point field goals made per contest.

Although it may look like a favorable match up on paper for the Lady Panthers, head coach Dan Druivenga has always preached to his team to never overlook their opponents. Coach Druivenga spoke with Raccoon Valley Radio about regardless of the opponent his team has to play according to themselves.

“We always play according to ourselves, always playing ourselves first. The other team will dictate how we play, how fast we go, what kind of defense we play, and the situation. We’re always playing against ourselves to do the correct things first. Take good shots, play good defense, and learn to clock the situation,” stated coach Druivenga.

Commencement of game one for coach Druivenga and his Lady Panther basketball team starts tonight in Bondurant beginning at 7:30 pm.
