midwest partnershipIn an effort to get high school students involved and exposed to the manufacturing industry, Midwest Partnership is offering virtual tours.

Executive Director Sarah Gomez says they get students connected with a manufacturer and get virtual tours of the facility via Skype. She adds that it’s a great opportunity for students to see what manufacturers do and the products they make without having to leave the classroom, like in the case of one school in Guthrie County.

“They wanted to tour a specific industry and there wasn’t one necessarily in Guthrie County or close by logistically for the students to travel to the plant and get back and continue on with their day. So we have arranged a virtual tour of a manufacturing facility of interest to that class.”
