The long awaited return of the annual ADM football awards night banquet occurred last night.
The awards festivities kicked off with the awards for the freshmen squad, a team that consisted of 31 individuals on the season. First award off the bat for the freshmen was the most improved award which went to Jaxson Millsap. Next were the Most Valuable Player awards for both the offense and defense. It was Thomas Boorn who came away with the defensive MVP honor with Zach Fuller who earned the freshmen offensive MVP.
Moving on up from the freshmen, in terms of total numbers the sophomore class totaled 18 individuals, the junior class came away with 17 total players, and the senior class contributed 18 total players to the overall roster.
Next on on the awards docket was the junior varsity awards beginning with their defensive most improved award which found its way in the hands of Lucas Heitz. The offensive most improved award was bestowed upon sophomore and wrestling standout Andrew Flora. The JV Most Valuable Offensive player award went to Brett Duroe while the defensive Most Valuable Player Award went to Richard Snedden. Captians for the JV squad went to Richard Snedden and Ethan Meyer.
The last set of awards belonged to the varsity squad. The varsity’s Most Improved award offensively was earned by Kade Barcus who earned 3 touchdowns on the season with 106 receiving yards. Defensively, the Most Improved award for the varsity belonged to Reece McLaughlin who ended the season with 16.5 tackles. The varsity offensive MVP went to the standout quarterback Sam McCartney who also earned a spot on the district 7 All-District first team. Defensively that honor was earned by the team’s leading tackler, Logan Shield who ended the season with 61 total tackles. Captians for the varsity Tigers were David Howard, Kade Overton, and Matthew Dobrzynski for the defense with Jacob West, Austin Flora, and Sam McCartney named offensive captains.
After the all district honors were mentioned, the final award of the night presented was the Practice Player Of The Year Award which went to senior Caleb Weddle.
