While first round of Iowa high school football playoffs commence tonight, unfortunately for the Panorama Panther football team, they won’t be involved in the post season.

With the unfortunate end of their season brings the final statistics for the 2016 Panorama Panther football season, starting with the offense.

The Panorama offense as a whole put up 290 total points split between 78 through the air and 138 on the ground. The Panther passing game completed 85 of 162 passing attempts resulting in 1,188 yards and 13 touchdowns while throwing just 8 interceptions. On the ground the Panther rushing attack earned 1,612 yards scoring 23 touchdowns all off of 301 rushing attempts.

Individually it was freshmen Luke South who stepped up and led the Panther passing attack posting up 80 completions for 1,182 yards and 13 touchdowns. The ground and pound Panther rushing attack was spear headed by sophomore Brody Rickheim with 92 rushing attempts resulting in 572 yards and 9 touchdowns. The individuals leading the way in the pass catching category were seniors Garrett Simmons and Levi Leiferman. Simmons recorded 22 receptions for 406 receiving yards and three touchdowns while Leiferman hauled in 13 receptions for 207 yards and three scores.
