The latest and final class cross country rankings for both individual and teams were released Tuesday just days before the state meet commences this Saturday.
For the Panorama Panther cross country teams, while there were no individuals earning top 30 individual honors, both teams as a whole earned spots inside class 1A’s top 15 team rankings. The boys squad will end the season ranked 13 overall. The boys squad finished second in both the West Central Activities Conference meet as well as the state qualifying meet which has earned them the right to participate as a team at the state meet.
A similar scenario can be said for the Lady Panther cross country team. The Lady Panthers finished the year ranked 8th as a team in their respective class 1A rankings. They too had two very solid outings in both the conference and state qualifying meets. The girls squad took the top spots in both meets finishing first in the West Central Activities Conference meet as well as the state qualifying meet, granting the team the right to participate at the state meet.
Overall the Panthers are sending both teams and five individual runners to the state meet this Saturday in Fort Dodge.
