What has seemed like forever in the making ADM’s sophomore standout cross country runner Sadie Juergens has officially made her way into the top 30 individual runners in class 3A.

With the recent and final individual class rankings released Tuesday, Juergens witnessed her hard work pay off and is now the 20th ranked runner in the class 3A girls rankings. It has certainly been a season deserving of a top 20 ranking for Juergens who has earned 5 top eight finishes this season, earning second overall at the Tiger Invitational and capped off by a 4th place finish at the state qualifying meet in Atlantic.

It’s a season that started off slow for the young sophomore but true to her fashion, Juergens pulled through and earned what seemed to be her long awaited spot inside the top runners in class 3A. Despite the success for Juergens along the way, it has been the last few meets that ADM head cross country coach David Zwank says has most earned Juergens her accolades to this point.

“The races that she’s run the last two meets have kinda been that long time coming where she performed at a level that she’s capable of doing. That’s what’s given her that recognition; finishing fourth in that state qualifier against some others that she’s raced against before but hasn’t been quite as competitive so she just really stepped things up and ran her race. A great day for her that day,” explained coach Zwank.

Sadie will be one of 10 individual runners to represent the Raccoon River Conference in the state meet this Saturday and will be placed in box number four along with four other runners when the state meet kicks off this Saturday in Fort Dodge.
