Yesterday the latest and final class team and individual cross country rankings came out before the state meet commences this Saturday.
For the ACGC Charger cross country teams they witnessed three of their own end the season on the top 30 individual runners list in class 1A. Two of those three runners belong to the boys squad in seniors Cale Billheimer and Landon Foster coming in ranked 21st and 22nd respectively in the boys individual rankings. Both Cale and Landon finished inside the top five in their state qualifying meet.
The lone Lady Charger belongs to freshmen Kate Crawford coming ranked 17th in the girls individual rankings. The talented freshmen has shown why she’s earned that ranking within the last two meets alone taking the top spot individually in the West Central Activities Conference meet and second place overall in the state qualifying meet at Panorama.
As for both boys and girls squads overall as a team the boys squad entered the final 2016 team rankings ranked 5th overall in class 1A while the Lady Chargers also entered the top 15 teams in class 1A ending up ranked 12th in their respective rankings.
Overall a powerful set of ACGC cross country teams in 2016 that will be sending both teams and 7 individual runners to the state meet this Saturday in Fort Dodge.
