acgcThe Adair-Casey and Guthrie Center School boards are making plans to prepare for some needed construction projects for next year.

Shared Superintendent Steve Smith says the boards are wanting to do two projects. One is an asphalt project in the parking lots of both districts and the other is tuckpointing project.

“We asphalted them a number of years ago and they actually just need some patch work and some cracks that I think will create bigger problems down the road, they need to be repaired. In Adair-Casey, we are just kind of seeing some structure in our elementary that looks like it could use some new tuckpointing. So we’ve laid that out there too to get a bid and see how much that would be.”

Smith points out that they are hoping to receive bids by next January and then start on the projects when the school year is over.

Funds for the projects will come from the physical plant and equipment levy fund.
