A Fort Dodge man was sentenced to prison in Greene County District Court.
According to court documents, 47 year-old Troy Angelo McGee was sentenced to five years in prison after pleading guilty to a Class D Felony for his third or subsequent offense for possession of meth.
The charge stems from an incident on August 13th. McGee was allegedly speeding on N Avenue, heading toward Wild Rose. He led authorities into the back parking lot of the casino. A police officer and a deputy lost sight of McGee in the parking lot. About three hours later, authorities were notified by casino staff that the suspect was inside the casino. As he was being arrested, officers found a bag of meth on him.
He was ordered to pay a $10 DARE charge, plus court costs and a law enforcement surcharge. In his plea agreement all other charges including a felony for possession of meth with intent to deliver, eluding and misdemeanors for possession of marijuana and drug paraphernalia were dismissed.
