The public is invited to a political event this weekend in Greene County.

The Bipartisans for Guy Richardson committee is hosting a “PIE for GUY” event on Sunday at Chuck and Carla Offenburger’s “Simple Serenity Farm”.

A pie and ice cream social will begin at 2:30pm on Sunday, October 2nd on the front yard, with a free-will donation offering being accepted with proceeds to go to the Richardson campaign. An introduction, followed by remarks from Richardson will take place at 3:15pm. Around 3:45pm will be an auction of an Iowa State Fair-qualified pie by Marianne Carlson. Dale Higgins from Grand Junction will be the auctioneer. Attendees are encouraged to bring lawn chairs.

The event is free and open to the public. The location for the event is at 1516 310th Street in rural Jefferson.

Richardson is running against Republican candidate Peter Bardole for Greene County Supervisor District Five seat in November.
