The Dallas County ISU Extension and Outreach office is hosting a workshop to help parents learn the importance of kids playing in nature next month.
The Reconnecting Children with Nature: Growing Up Wild early childhood training takes place Saturday, October 8th. Attendees will learn hands-on activities and be given resource materials to help lead their own nature adventures.
The workshop is designed for children between the ages of three and seven and age appropriate concepts will help build on their sense of wonder and exploration. Activities will focus on the areas of math, science, language, literacy, healthy living, play and creativity.
The registration fee is $10 and you must sign up by October 1st.
