The Guthrie County landfill scale will be closed next week as a new one is installed. 

County Sanitarian Stephen Patterson says a new scale is being installed from Monday, September 26th-Monday, October 3rd, and residents will be unable to utilize the scale until after the new one is operational.
Scale, Sales and Service, of Omaha, is installing the Rice Lake brand scale at a cost of just over $105,000.
