Two more dual meet swimming victories for the Boone girls improved their season record to 6-0. The Toreadors defeated Algona and Spencer on Monday night in Algona. Boone downed the host Bulldogs 71-23, and defeated Spencer’s Tigers by a 54-47 final. Six Greene County students swim for Boone under an athletic sharing agreement.

Coach Chris Mann said “Spencer has a very talented team, so we knew it would be a great test for our girls and a great way for them to showcase a little of what they have been working for lately. We let loose and had some good time drops. We are looking forward to our first invite of the year on Saturday with a lot of good teams in Marshalltown.”

The top varsity finishes for the student-athletes from Greene County are listed below.

Megan Doran- 200 medley relay, first place; 100 butterfly, third place.

Ashley Hunter- 200 medley relay, first place; 100 freestyle, fourth place; 200 freestyle relay, second place.

Haley Hall- 100 butterfly, first place.

Ellie Madson- 400 freestyle relay- first place.
