stuart cityA new organization aims to improve many aspects of the Stuart Public Library.

People Active for Library Service (PALS) founder Carol Brewer says the group was formed when several individuals in the community wanted to support the library in a variety of ways. “(We wondered) how can we be an active group that helps in support of the library’s events, but also helps with things that the library needs in terms of volunteer activities.”

The organization is hosting a kick-off membership drive event Saturday from 11 a.m.-1 p.m. at the library. Brewer will tell us more about it today on Let’s Talk Guthrie County. It airs during the 9 a.m., noon and 5 p.m. hours on K107.9 and www.raccoonvalleyradio.com.
