Last night the ADM Lady Tiger Volleyball team took to the road to square off against the Raccoon River Conference’s second Tiger squad in Carroll.

ADM marched into Carroll with their 9-3 record and newly earned 12th place ranking inside the latest class 4A volleyball polls and came out victorious in three sets against their counterparts. ADM took the first set 25-16, took the second set 25-13, and came out on top 25-23 in set number three for the complete three set sweep to increase their record to 10-3.

It was a team effort for the Lady Tigers aided in large part by the veterans Amy Gottschalk, Sydney Bertman, and Sami Schepers among many others.

Amy Gottschalk’s big night included erupting for 10 kills, 2 digs, and 2 blocks while Sydney Bertman was the master facilitator totaling 10 assists, adding to her 6 kills, 6 digs, and 2 blocks for the contest. Sami Schepers showed great versatility posting 6 kills and 11 digs, while adding 2 aces to the mix as well.

Normally a defensive led team this season, it was the offense that stole the show last night as ADM amassed 66 out of 75 successful serves yielding 10 aces and 20 assists for the contest.

Not much rest for the Lady Tigers as they hit the hardwood yet again tomorrow in search for win 11 although in the comforts of ADM high school welcoming in the Lady Toreadors of Boon for the first time this season. ADM and Boon will get set to commence with their match up beginning with the JV and Freshmen squads at 5:30 pm followed by the varsity match up at 7:00 inside the ADM north gym.
