The Adel City Council will meet in regular session tonight.
Items on the agenda include a public hearing in regards to a rezoning request from Cramer and Associates, recognition of Police Chief Gordy Shepherd for his 20 years of service and a report from Dave Massey from Ankeny Sanitation.
The Council will then hear an update on the patio lease, proposed water, sewer and storm sewer projects, a year end report for the Adel Aquatic Center and recreation revenues for fiscal year 2016.
New business items include an ordinance amendment in regards to rezoning, approval of the annual city street financial report, allowing snowmobiles to travel on the Raccoon River Valley Trail, approval of an environmental assessment water contract and storm water contract and approval of budget committee recommendations.
Next the Council will discuss a Rise Broadband breach of contract, approve no parking and 2 hour parking sign placement, approve the sale of 425 River Street, approve the purchase of a truck for the Parks and Recreation Department, approve the third change order for the Adel Historic Museum addition, along with the fourth payment application for the project and setting a public hearing in regards to annexation.
The meeting takes place at 6pm at the Adel City Hall.
