01With fall right around the corner, Jefferson Parks and Recreation is starting up some of their fall youth programs.

Anyone pre-kindergarten through fifth grade is encouraged to join in the football mini cheerleading camp. Ann Ostendorf and the Greene County High School cheerleaders will teach kids different cheers, jumps and routines for the September 9th home varsity football game. The two-day camp will be on September 6th and 8th from 3:30 to 5pm at the elementary school in Jefferson. The cost to participate is $10.

Another program is for girls and boys in first through third grade for a flag football program. It will teach participants about the fundamentals, coordination, rules of the game and teamwork. Mouth pieces are required. It will be on Tuesday evenings from September 6th through the 27th from 5:30 to 6:30pm at Kelso Park. Cost to participate is $20.
