Time is running out to register for the Greene County Medical Center Golf Outing.

The event will be on Friday, August 19th at the Jefferson Community Golf Course. The four-person scramble will start at 10:30am with check-ins at 10am. Following the golf tournament will be dinner served at the clubhouse and Chief Executive Officer Carl Behne will be the featured speaker. Roberts encourages everyone to join them for a fun day of golf.

“Just a lot of good people who participate and everybody has a lot of fun. It’s a great networking opportunity but also an opportunity just to relax for the day and just do what you want to do and have a good time.”

She points out that all proceeds will go to equipment purchases for the medical center’s new oncology department.

“One of the ways that we support the oncology department, and we use this as our greenbacker theme this year for our fundraiser, is they actually mix the chemicals in our pharmacy and there is a hood that they use that takes the fumes up and out. When they are mixing the chemicals, it (the hood) keeps it from being toxic.”

The $250 team registrations are due by August 15th to the medical center at 1000 West Lincoln Way in Jefferson.
