A deputy was dispatched for the report of an abandoned vehicle off the roadway and in a field on Highway 25 near 250 th Street. The car was towed from the scene and the owner was informed of its location.

Saturday, August 6th
A deputy was dispatched to the 100 block of East Hager Street in Grand Junction to investigate the report of a suspicious person in the alley behind the Laundromat. No one was found in the area upon the deputy’s arrival.
A deputy was unable to locate a vehicle and driver that was entering Greene County from Guthrie County on either Highway 25 or A Avenue that was reported to be possibly intoxicated.
A deputy was asked to speak with a resident in the 200 block of East Main Street in Grand Junction about the disposal of an animal carcass in his yard.
Sunday, August 7th
A deputy was advised of a vehicle that was taken without the owner’s consent in the 900 block of 222nd Street. The vehicle was later entered as stolen.
A deputy was dispatched to the 800 block of North Street in Churdan for the report of several children playing dangerously close to Highway 4. The parents of the youth were spoken to by the deputy.
Monday, August 8th
A deputy assisted a Jefferson Police Officer with a medical call in the 500 block of West Mahlon, in Jefferson.
A deputy was dispatched to the 700 block of Eagle Street in Scranton to investigate a reported assault.
A deputy was advised by the Webster County Sheriff’s Office of a single vehicle fatality accident that occurred in Webster County.
A deputy spoke with a Churdan resident about a harassment concern.
A deputy assisted Jefferson Police Officers with trying to locate a small child that was reported to be walking close the Union Pacific Railroad tracks. The described youth was not located at that time.
A deputy spoke with a resident in the 1500 block of Neola Avenue about a personal property civil issue.
A deputy was dispatched to the 300 block of State Street in Scranton to investigate a suspicious vehicle driving around the town. The described pickup was not located upon the deputy’s arrival.
A deputy was advised of several youth trespassing on private property in Churdan. It was reported that the youth ran from the area before the deputy arrived.
Tuesday, August 9th
A deputy was advised of the theft of personal property that was removed from the yard of a residence in the 300 block of 13th Street South in Grand Junction.
In all cases when a defendant has been charged, this is merely an accusation, an all defendants are presumed innocent until proven guilty.
