An event next month at Springbrook State Park, in Guthrie County, will provide outdoor activities focused on women.

 

Organizer Rachel Ladd says the Becoming an Outdoors-Woman workshop will teach the skills of fishing, Dutch oven cooking, birdwatching, kayaking, deer hunting, wild food, basic camping, archery, shooting, canoeing and more.

 

It takes place overnight Friday, September 16-Sunday, September 18. The cost of the workshop is $150 if registration is made by September 4th, and $180 if after that deadline.
