lincoln highwayThere is plenty of entertainment and fun in Grand Junction tomorrow for the Lincoln Highway Fun Day.

The day begins at 11am with the opening of the Kennedy Museum, silent auction bids at the community center, along with a pie eating contest and a vendor fair and bake sale also in the community center. From 11:30am to 1pm will be lunch served at the city park.

The afternoon activities kick off at 1pm with street games and an ice cream truck by the library, followed by a puppet show at the library at 2pm and bingo in the community center conference room. Kids games will be at 3pm in the library and a 3-on-3 basketball tournament will take place from 3 to 5pm on the tennis court.

The Greene County Singers will perform in the community center at 3:30pm and there will be water fights on the west end of Main Street happening at the same time. There will be two performances of a one-act play at 4:30pm and 7:15pm in the community center. The parade starts at 5pm, followed by the king and queen coronation ceremony at 5:30pm with a free-will donation meal from the Greene County Pork Producers in the community center.

The evening activities will include a jaws of line demonstration at the fire station at 7:45pm, then at 8pm is bingo in the community center along with final bids on the silent auction items. Check-ins for the Glow Run will be at 8:30pm and the race starts at 9pm. Ferg’s is hosting an after party and will donate the cover charge to the pool fund to make repairs to the City’s swimming pool.
