An Adair County resident has been appointed to help lead a statewide Iowa Farm Bureau committee.

Leanne Kading, who lives between Adair and Casey, is the new vice-chair of the Young Farmer Advisory Committee, which provides leadership and participation opportunities for Farm Bureau members ages 18-35.

The Committee plans various events around Iowa each year, including a statewide conference in January that has doubled in attendance over the past four years.
