Scoop the Loop in Stuart has donated money to two good causes this summer.

Organizer Bob Cook says Hawkeye Elvis sold $311 worth of cruise cones at the June 4th event to benefit the University of Iowa Children’s Hospital fund.

Additionally, Uncle Sam was on hand at the most recent event on July 9th to raise $355 for the Stuart Fire Department.

Cook says a different charity will be chosen to benefit from the September Scoop the Loop event.
