The Dallas County Conservation Board is bringing a well respected ecologist and professor to town later this month.
Waldorf College professor Paul Bartelt will be at the Forest Park Museum on Sunday, July 31st to host an interactive program.
Museum Curator Pete Malmberg says they’re excited to learn more about Iowa amphibians.
“He is very concerned about what’s happening with our amphibians in our agricultural landscape. He’s going to present a program entitled It Ain’t Easy Being Green. This is kind of a hands-on program. He’ll do a PowerPoint and then he’ll follow that up with letting people actually put tracking devices on amphibians, so it’s pretty cool.”
The program is free, though reservations are requested. To sign up, call 465-3577.
