A fairly small, but mighty severe Thunderstorm charged through Guthrie and Dallas counties Wednesday night.
Three members of Raccoon Valley Radio’s Severe Weather Action Team took to the air at 6:01 p.m. and relayed information to listeners until the warning expired at 6:30 p.m. Hail and isolated heavy rain were major factors of this storm. Emergency management briefly saw golfball sized hail fall a few miles southeast of Panora. The hail had decreased to the size of peas and nickels by the time it reached southeast of Linden. Radar later indicated hail to be up to the size of half dollars in central Dallas County.
Emergency management reported no obvious immediate damage in Guthrie County.
