The West Central Valley baseball team were winners in an exciting first round playoff game against rival Panorama at a neutral Earlham field Saturday night. The Wildcats edged the Panthers 8-6, largely on the back of an impressive pitching performance by Logan Pruitt, who tossed a complete game, allowing just three earned runs and striking out 7 batters. Pruitt, batting cleanup, helped his own cause on offense, scoring twice and knocking in two rbis. The Wildcats travel to Van Meter tomorrow night for a second round game with a 7 p.m. first pitch.
