The Star Energy gas station, located at 525 Main Street in Yale, is one of five Iowa gas stations recently added to the ‘Fueling Our Future 100’ initiative, which aims to install new blender pumps and underground storage tanks to distribute higher blends of renewable fuels.

The funding for the Iowa projects comes from a 50/50 fund matching $5 million grant from the United States Department of Agriculture and Biofuel Infrastructure Partnership.

Equipment installed as part of this program must be operational by the end of the year, and must continue to be operated through December 30th, 2021.
