Trial date set for Scranton man accused of sexual abuse of a minor.

According to court documents, 23 year-old Anthony Michael Grife changed his plea to guilty to Class B Felonies for three counts of second degree sexual abuse and Class C Felony for lascivious acts with a child.

The charge stems from an incident on October 24, 2015, when the Greene County Sheriff’s office responded to an anonymous call about an alleged sexual abuse incident in the 400 block of Madison Street in Scranton. Four members of the Sheriff’s office then executed a search warrant at the rental property that evening and recovered a cellphone and a computer with images of the sexual acts.

He waived his right to a speedy trial and has reached a plea agreement. His pre-trial hearing is schedule for July 18th and the jury trial is scheduled for July 26th.
