The dry spell continues for much of Iowa.
After a wet beginning of spring, the end of the season and start of summer, have been quite dry.
According to the National Drought Mitigation Center, Dallas County, along with all but the northwest corner of Guthrie and western half of Greene counties, is experiencing abnormally dry conditions.
The latest totals from the National Weather Service show Guthrie Center received no rain this past week while Perry added just 0.16 to their monthly total. Normal precipitation totals for the first three and a half weeks in June is just shy of four inches. So far Perry has received 1.9 inches and Guthrie Center has seen just 0.21 inch.
