Beginning today, benefits from the Women, Infants and Children (WIC) and Senior Check programs will be accepted at farmer’s markets in Stuart, Guthrie Center and Panora.
The program allows lower income women, infants, children and seniors access to fresh, nutritious, locally-grown produce.
The Stuart farmer’s market takes place Wednesdays from 4:30-6:30 p.m. at Lawbaugh Park. Panora’s farmer’s market takes place Fridays from 4:30-6:30 p.m. on the square and Guthrie Center’s farmer’s market takes place from 9-11:00 a.m. Saturdays at the old Guthrie County State Bank parking lot.
