An Adel DeSoto Minburn High School graduate has been awarded a National Merit Scholarship.

Elizabeth Larkin has been selected for an Iowa State University National Merit Scholarship.  The college-sponsored award winners are selected from among the finalists in the National Merit Scholarship Program.  Finalists are chosen based on their Preliminary SAT test.  Each scholarship provides between $500 and $2,000 annually for up to four years of undergraduate study.

Larkin plans to attend ISU in the fall and study medicine.
