Heart of Iowa Habitat for Humanity will perform at least three helping-hands projects this summer in Guthrie County.
Associate Director Jeff Lamoureux says the program helps residents refurbish their homes. “It’s a program that we started in Greene County. Basically, the idea is to help owner-occupied homes make some general repairs to their home. We generally limit that to exterior repairs like painting, roof repair, windows, storm doors and other similar fixtures.”
The first project will begin next weekend in Panora, plus one will take place in July in Guthrie Center and a Bayard project is being organized for August.
