Bad weather forced the cancellation of non conference match ups for both the ADM baseball and softball teams last night. Both games were moved up to 5:30 in attempt to avoid the inclement weather but it was not meant to be.

The Tiger baseball team was set to take on Interstate-35 for their second home game and third overall game of the season. The Tigers will remain at a 1-1 record on the season. Through two games the Tigers yield a .269 batting average with 14 hits and 10 RBI’s on the season. Pitching for the Tigers has yielded a 4.308 ERA with 15 strike outs on the season. Take away the 8 run 4th inning in game number one and the Tigers would be sitting at no runs allowed on the season.

Next up for coach Jason Book and his Tiger baseball team will be hitting the road this Saturday to partake in the Tim Heggen Invitational in Ankeny. ADM will be one of four teams participating including Ankeny, Ankeny Centennial, and North Polk. The Tigers are scheduled to face North Polk in their first game at 11:45 am and Centennial in their second match up at 2:00 pm.

The Tiger softball team will hold on to a 2-0 record as they head into their weekend tournament at Winterset starting tonight. Through two games the Tigers yield a .418 batting average consisting of 23 hits, 20 runs, and 14 RBI’s. On the mound Molly Jacobsen has been dominating allowing no hits, no runs, and 21 strike outs. The Tigers will be starting their weekend tournament in Winterset tonight which will consist of Chariton, Harlan, Interstate-35, Martensdale-St Marys, Nodaway Valley, Van Meter, and Winterset. ADM’s first game of the tournament is tonight against Interstate-35 beginning at 6:00 pm.
