United States Senator Joni Ernst will be in Jefferson this morning.

She will hold a veteran roundtable with local individuals to discuss with veterans about their interactions with the Department of Veterans Affairs and other benefits that were promised to them for their military service.

Speakers that are invited include Jefferson VFW Post Commander Don Ihnken, American Legion Post 11 Commander Jim Andrew, Greene County Supervisor Guy Richardson, along with Lieutenant Governor Kim Reynolds and Home Base Iowa Program Manager Jason Kemp.

The event will take place at the Greene County Community Center social room at 9:45am.

The public is invited to the free event.
