A Rockwell City man was injured in a rollover accident Wednesday in Greene County.
Sheriff Steve Haupert says a deputy, the Churdan Fire and Rescue Unit, the Jefferson Fire Department and Greene County Emergency Medical Services responded to the accident at the intersection of 180th Street and I Avenue. Fifty-four year-old Timothy Dale Cafferty was traveling south in a 1999 Mack flatbed straight truck that is owned by Landus Cooperative. Cafferty was trying to turn onto 180th Street when the truck rolled onto its side and into the south ditch.
Haupert notes that Cafferty complained of chest pains and was taken to Greene County Medical Center by Greene County EMS for further evaluation. The extent of his injuries are unknown at this time. The truck he was driving sustained some damage and the 2000 gallon tank of water, that was attached to the truck, was severely damaged.
