Everyone is invited to a joint open house event this afternoon.

From 1 to 4pm, the public can visit both Evergreen Ridge and The Gardens in Jefferson. Evergreen Ridge is an independent living facility with 33 purchasable units. It has a pool table and fireplace area. Director Hollie Roberts explains what independent living is.

“You can take care of yourself. We don’t have any CNA (certified nursing assistant) on duty, we don’t provide health care, we don’t provide medications. We have people on staff to do laundry. We do have a van, so we take people to town on Friday’s to get groceries. We help them with just the small things.”

Conversely, The Gardens is for those individuals that need extra help with daily tasks or routines. Life Enrichment Coordinator Holly Namanny says they have a 24-hour nurse on staff and another one on-call. They can assist with house cleaning and laundry services, managing medications, dressing and help bathing individuals. Their units are for lease.

During the open house events, Evergreen Ridge will have refreshments and people can tour their facility. The Gardens will have public tours and refreshments as well as the Al Walsh Orchestra will perform at 2pm.
