The Greene County High School girls’ golf team is preparing for Monday’s Class 4A Regional Tournament at the Carroll Country Club. The Rams will have a 10 day layoff from competition between the end of the regular season and the Regional. Head Coach Heath Telleen was asked if he was concerned about the layoff. “I’m not really worried about that. In fact, it gives us a little bit of time to work on some of the parts of the game that they’re struggling with. We’ve been doing some short game work and a lot of girls are losing strokes around the green, so it’s been a good opportunity for us. We’ll take what we can get.”
Sophomore Rachael Danielson leads the Rams in low stroke average and senior Katelyn Hagen is second in that department.
